1-1/2 pounds Ground Oostema Wagyu Beef
1 refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of a 15-ounce package)
1-1/4 cups shredded carrots
1-1/4 cups shredded russet potatoes
3/4 cup shredded onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 egg, beaten
Ketchup or beef gravy (optional)
Preheat Your Oven: Warm up your oven to 400°F, setting the stage for baking the pies to golden perfection.
Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Ground Oostema Wagyu Beef with shredded carrots, potatoes, and onion. Add salt and pepper. Mix lightly but thoroughly to distribute the flavors evenly.
Fill Soufflé Dish: Scoop the mixture into six 8-ounce ovenproof ramekins or bowls, pressing down to pack them well.
Prepare Crusts: Roll out the pie crust on a flat surface and cut into six circles, about 3-3/4 inches in diameter. Drape the crust over each ramekin, letting the edges overhang. Crimp the edges to seal and cut slits in the tops to vent steam. Brush with beaten egg to achieve a golden sheen.
Bake: Place the ramekins on a lined baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes. The pies are done when an instant-read thermometer reads 160°F at the center and the crusts are a beautiful golden brown.
Rest and Serve: Let the pies rest for 5 minutes after baking. Serve warm, perhaps with a side of ketchup or rich beef gravy.
For an extra touch of rustic charm, serve these hearty pies with a side of seasonal vegetables or a simple green salad.
From our farm to your table, enjoy a touch of rustic goodness with these Wagyu Beef Pot Pies.
From our house to yours, “eet smakelijk” is Dutch for “enjoying your meal.”
