Wagyu Chili

Wagyu beef chili is a hearty and flavorful dish that is typically made by slow-cooking tender chunks of Wagyu beef in a rich and spicy tomato-based sauce. This dish is characterized by its deep, rich flavor profile that is achieved through the use of high-quality ingredients, including juicy chunks of tender beef, a variety of spices, and flavorful vegetables like onions, bell peppers, and garlic.

  • 2.5 pounds Oostema Farmstead Wagyu Ground Beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 can fire roasted tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, chopped 
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sour cream
  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • Green onions, chopped
  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Saute onions until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add jalapenos and garlic. Saute for another minute. 
  4. Add beef and cook until brown, about 5-7 minutes, breaking up with a fork into small crumbles.
  5. Add beans, tomatoes, spices, and broth. 
  6. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve in bowls, garnished with toppings as desired.
