Walking tacos are an easy, crowd-friendly meal that’s perfect for game day, casual gatherings, or anytime you need something quick and flexible. Served directly in individual chip bags, they require minimal prep, no plates, and very little cleanup, making them ideal for feeding a group without spending the day in the kitchen.
Using Wagyu ground beef adds rich flavor and tenderness, creating a simple base that pairs well with classic taco toppings.
2–3 pounds Wagyu ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
2–3 tablespoons taco seasoning
½ cup water
Individual snack-size bags of chips (Fritos, Doritos, or tortilla chips)
Shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese
Shredded lettuce
Diced tomatoes or salsa
Chopped red onion
Jalapeños
Sour cream
Lime wedges
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Wagyu ground beef and diced onion.
Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it up into small crumbles. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5–10 minutes until well seasoned and slightly saucy.
Keep warm until ready to serve.
Open individual chip bags lengthwise. Spoon warm beef directly into the bag, top with cheese and desired toppings, and serve with forks.
Walking tacos with Wagyu ground beef are a simple, satisfying option for feeding a crowd. They’re easy to prepare, customizable for different tastes, and perfect for casual, hands-on serving. Whether for game day or a relaxed get-together, this recipe delivers flavor without extra effort.
